About this Narration: Summer Wedding
Summer is our marriage season. The wedding takes place in the bride’s home. I have shown her house open, decorated and full of guests and activity. The ceremony is held outside and always at night. I have shown the couple in our traditional dress, under the mandap, canopy. They circle a sacred fired 4 times very slowly. Sometimes by the time the wedding is finished, the sun is rising. It is the end of summer and rain clouds are gathering for the monsoon to come.
